Residential Rescheduling Due To Weather Interruptions is as Follows:

Tuesday, February 12 -> To Be Collected Tuesday, February 19

Wednesday, February 13 -> If Not Collected, Then Wednesday February 20

Thursday, February 14 -> If Not Collected, Then Thursday February 21

Friday, February 15 -> If Not Collected, Then Friday, February 22

 

If you are unable to wait until next week, our drop off station is open at 1045 Dunford Ave and will accept your waste in lieu of your regular collection. Please provide your address to the receptionist in the front office and they will provide you with a complimentary drop off slip.

 

We have been providing residential waste collection services to homes in the Western Communities, (including Sooke and the Highlands) for over 30 years. We offer friendly, flexible service on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis for garbage and kitchen scraps, and we pick up on all holidays except Christmas Day.

Please note that we no longer service curbside recycling blue boxes, for more information on collection dates, missed collections, or inquiries about recyclable items please contact the CRD Hotline at 250-360-3030.

Going on holidays? Simply call our friendly staff and we are able to put your account on “Vacation Stop”
Need an audit of your account for tax purposes? Our friendly staff are able to provide you with a list of all your transactions for the year.
Automated Payments? Set up “Alpine” as a payee through your bank account, or leave your credit card information with us and we are able to process your card automatically on a quarterly basis
Forgot to put your refuse out on your week? Simply call our office and we are more than happy to schedule a pick up on your “off” week and provide you with a complimentary fridge magnet calendar to help keep you on track

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I have my refuse at the curb?
Waste containers must be curbside by 7am to ensure you are not missed.

What size container should I be using?
Maximum 1 can container size is 120 Litre with a maximum weight of 55 lbs.

What refuse is not allowed in my garbage?
Drywall, metal, cardboard, wood, and paint are not permitted in house hold waste, but can be disposed of at Alpine Garbage & Recycling Drop off Center for a nominal fee.

What if I have extra garbage this week?
Please advise the head office of any extra refuse, charges will appear on your next statement.

My pick up day is on Christmas?
We take the time to call all of our customers who fall on this day and provide you with an alternate pick-up day. Otherwise, please see below for alternative collection dates for 2017:

Victoria Area Residential Customers:

Tuesday, December 25th residential customers will be collected on Saturday, December 22nd.

Tuesday, January 1st residential customers will still be collected Tuesday, January 1st
